Here ya go!! Mmmm, I need another slice while I write this...
*Preheat oven to 350F. Grease loaf pan, set aside.
*In a medium bowl add:
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
4 tablespoons melted butter (it can be salted or not salted- I use salted)
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 large eggs
3-4 mashed bananas (the more ripe they are, the better)
*Blend all ingredients with a hand mixer until all blended. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake in oven for 1 hour. Mmmmm, your house is going to smell amazing! My 3 year old loves this recipe!
Re: Homemade Banana Bread- ThE ReCiPe!
Hahaha, no way!! You'd have to pry that banana bread from my cold dead fingers!!! lol
This is prob a really dumb dumb question but what does it taste like? I have never had banana bread.
I like bananas, and I like bread. DO you eat it for breakfast? do you put anything on it? LOL I feel like i Have lived in a cave for the last 25 years...sorry
It's moist, sweet loaf that tastes like bananas...I like to put a little margarine or butter on it. Some people eat it plain. It doesn't have the texture of bread from the grocery store. You can eat it for breakfast, or snack on it during the day. It's great with coffee or tea...
I LOVE recipes that call for ingredients that I already have on hand ... I might hide a couple of bananas from my husband so they can get super ripe!
Ahhhhh, can I wait that long?!
PS - If anyone ever wants to share recipes that calls for eggs, please do! I have about 22 dozen out in my barn refrigerator right now, and the chickies are laying 8-12 a day!
How about a great omelette recipe? Haha
Let me know how you like it. I'm cutting myself a piece for dessert soon
