maternity jeans

I am a little suprised at how fast my regular clothes became uncomfortable this time around.  I wear scrubs at work so that hasn't been an issue so far.  I saved my maternity clothes from last time around, and I thought I had jeans but I don't.  Where can I get maternity jeans at a reasonable price?  Any good second hand stores that have them?  I am not a tiny girl either, so anywhere with bigger sizes would help.

Thanks!

Re: maternity jeans

  • I actually was pretty lucky with the Gap. The Gap downtown Seattle has a maternity section where you can try on the clothes and then they have some pretty good online sales. There is a maternity store across from Bellevue Square as well with a pretty decent selection. The only second hand store I had any luck with for maternity clothes was Childish Things in Seattle (Greenwood area). GL!

  • Old Navy at Southcenter actually has a rack of maternity jeans on clearance. It's worth a shot to check.

  • I second Gap maternity jeans, I ordered them online.  The Gap always seemed to have 30% offers online.

  • Another vote for Gap jeans.  I loved them when I was pregnant and was kind of sad to give them up after I had baby.  :)

I went there last week and they didn't have a big enough size to cover my gigantic a** :)  Thank you for the tip though.

  • I got some pants at JC Penney's with I was pg with Sydney. The jeans were not the most stylish but the capris and shorts I got were super cute and comfy. I usually never wear shorts but I loved these one so much that they were the only thing I didn't donate when I got rid of all my maternity clothes. I would always order enough to get free shipping and then return whatever didn't work to the store.

Have you tried Khols? I didn't know it existed until after I gave birth, but a lot of girls here liked their maternity stuff. I had great luck with Old Navy and Motherhood Maternity. I LOVED my full-panel jeans from Motherhood!

This.  I LOVE my maternity jeans from Motherhood.  I'm going to be sad to go back to regular jeans which don't fit me as well.  They're usually around $25-40, but watch for sales, too. They come in regular sizes and plus.  I'm normally a plus girl, but actually wear a normal XL in Motherhood's pants (which is why they fit nicely everywhere else, since I only need extra in the waist.)

  • JCP and Motherhood have plus sized maternity jeans.  Your best bet is to order some stuff with a free ship-to-store with JCP and try it on, then return what doesn't fit.  Old Navy has plus too, but I haven't gotten a thing from them this pregnancy because it's all weird.

Ditto Gap Maternity jeans. I also liked the Motherhood maternity jeans.

There is a great consignment shop in West Seattle with maternity clothes. They have a website that you can search for items. The actual store is very overwhelming, but if you ask the extremely helpful staff will pull items for you in seconds. I always online search prior to going and just ask for what I need when I arrive. (some items are in the back or hard to find).

  • They can be pricey, but I really loved my Lilac maternity jeans.  Costco periodically gets them in as a "special event" (you can check their website for this), and babysteals.com and zulily.com often have them up for sale.

  • Didn't read the other responses, so this might be a repeat.  I had the best luck at Target.  I tried others, but the Target pair I bought lasted my entire pregnancy and just fit right.  [full panel]

I also scored with some cords from the Gap at Value Village in Redmond, and I pretty much wore those or my jeans all the time outside of work.

This!  I found some cute stuff at Kohls and the jeans that lasted the entire time were the ones I got from Motherhood (full panel).  I saw a coupon in my Parenting magazine for $10 off a $50 motherhood purchase (I believe..) if you want it! PM your address if so :)
