Where can I donate formula?

Does anyone know who would accept donated formula?  Local shelters?

I received so many free samples of formula in the mail when I was pregnant - 3 cans of Enfamil, 3 cans of Similac and a ton of little 4 oz. samples.  I still BFing and will probably buy organic if I do end up needing to wean so I don't want them to go to waste.

Re: Where can I donate formula?

  • local churches, food pantry's or shelters would love it.

we just got a notice here at work that there is a huge need for this.

  • I donated the free formula we got to a women's shelter. Same goes for disposable diapers that DS outgrew (we only use them as emergency diapers so he outgrows them faster than we use them up).
  • Contact your town's social service agency, I'm sure they would love it.
  • Thanks ladies, I just looked online and found a battered women and children's shelter on the way to my sister's house (heading over there to go trick or treating later today).

They were so appreciative on the phone... makes me forget the petty stresses of running around and getting ready to head out the door and realize how blessed I really am in life.

  • Try your local women's shelter, salvation army, or food bank
