Oh my gosh! Wow.. that is short notice. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Wow is all I can say!
Yeah the "official" day is 11/3 but we can leave today.... I'll get a months pay. I am not freaking yet, I'll save that for DH; he's going to loose it. And I am pissed b/c I just paid $60 to secure a spot at a daycare near work; there's no way we'd use it now b/c its too far from home or DH's work. UGH. Didn't realize people would actually fire an almost 8 month pg. woman.
Oh God! Seriously, could they have not given you more notice??? I am so sorry. Trust me--I konw how stressful that is. I hope it all works out for you ASAP! Will you get severance at least?
Oh no! I am SO sorry to hear that. I've dealt with being laid off too, so I understand. At least you'll be able to draw unemployment, and be able to stay home with the baby. This also happened to a friend of mine when she was about 7 months pg, and she said it was a blessing in disguise, b/c she was able to stay home with her son for 6 months. I don't know your situation, but hopefully it will be to your advantage.
You can go on the state's unemployment website and it will show you how much your benefits will be.
I am so sorry. Been through that, just in May. 4 months with no job.
Unemployment pays max $500 a week. So if you were making over say $40000... you will get $500 a week, before taxes. Not sure what the percentages are if you make less money.
Oh no sweetie, I am so sorry to hear that! It sounds like you are handling it well but I am sure it is a huge shock. Hang in there--you will figure something out. ::hugs::
