I think the writers very accurately portrayed the emotion, jealous, anger, frustration many of us are feeling in last nights Grey's episode. I DVR'd it and typed it out for those who missed it or would like to read it again.
"Yesterday at that baby shower I was jealous of Callie because she got pregnant without trying, and we try. I get shots, I take my temperature, I put my legs in the air and nothing. the universe says screw you Merideth, and gives Callie a kid., And then puts Callie through a windshield! I mean what the hell is going on? What is the point? I mean is there a reason for this? Because if you can think of a reason, any reason at all why the universe is so screwed up and random and mean now would be an amazingly good time to tell me because I really need some answers!"
Re: Merideth's elevator rant from Grey's
I wondered this too!
It totally hit home, clearly someone on the writing staff "gets" it.
Did the singing freak anyone else out though? I was almost embarrassed when the singing started... and I'm still not sure what the point was.
I dont watch the show anymore... but I watch enough E! News and perezhilton to know what the storylines are etc...
I like the monologue posted above that Merideth said, but a friend from another board who lost her triplets at 20wks is apparently furious with the writers for how they protrayed callie's baby/birth (I didn't watch the show). Curious if anyone else thinks they were out of line or not honest enough with the protrayal? (kinda a spin off from the post the other day about show's not 'getting it' when showing mc/loss)

I know, that was so well said!
I didn't care for the "Musical" aspect last night, although they picked good songs, I found it very corny...every time I thought I might cry, they started singing, and I just couldn't get past it...

Congrats to my Labor Buddy LoriJ11, baby Elise born 2/24/12
I loved the quote but did not love callies birth... How far along was callie? It was really hard for me to watch it from that side of it. I dont like that it was used for entertainment.
I personally dont think it was very accurate.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change. The courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

You're not alone. I liked the singing too. I love that they used songs from the soundtrack of the show so far, and I thought it was cool to see them showcase their other talents.
