Toddler Shoe recommendations

I love Riley Roos shoes and is what my DD has worn all this time. But now that DD is getting older she is tearing holes on them like every other week. I need something with a rubber sole. In researching other types I like Pedipeds but would like to know how soft the sole is as they advertise. At this point we need something more durable. Specially for that price. Some of the See Kai Run shoes seem more durable. Anyone have any other recommendations, perhaps a bit less pricey. Or do you know if they sell Pedipeds or See Kai Run at a department store when I can feel them first. I have only seen them online.

I bought the Riley Roos on mamabargains so they were at a great price (like $12 a pop I think). Now, I'm struggling to pay more than $30 a pair but do want DD to be comfortable. We have tried Jack & Lily and they her blisters.

  • Nordstrom has See Kai Run.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

  • Thanks ladies. I found some at Stride Rite.
  • Nordstrom usually has a great selection of quality toddler shoes. Stride Rite has always worked well for us. They are very durable and give lots of support. My son also has wide feet and there are lots of sizing options that work for him.

  • We use Pedipeds - and they are the only shoe that LO will keep on...and he actually wants to put them on!

  • We used Vans for dd when she started needing real shoes. They worked out great, even though they're not what you typically think of for toddlers. Also, totally affordable and cute. They never gave her any blisters or problems.
  • I like Pedipeds.  My LO has wore them since he begin to walk. In the Pediped website you can find boutiques close to your home. That is what I did, and  we love his shoes.
