Bleeding in early pregnancy?

I so didn't want this to be my first post on SAIF, but I'm 5 weeks 1 day and I woke up this morning to red blood. It has slowed and it's not red anymore, but it's still there. My doctor did an ultrasound this morning and everything looks on track for 5 weeks, but I'm still a little freaked out.

Did anyone have bleeding early on and have a?successful?pregnancy? Thanks.?

    I had a heavy bleed at exactly 6 weeks.  The ultrasounds confirmed everything was fine and that's when I heard the heartbeats for the first time.  My RE told me over 50% of IVF pregnancies bleed early.  I spotted for another week and everything has been fine. I'm now 11 wks pregnant.  Just try to relax.  I know it's scary but relaxing helps.

    I had bleeding and spotting for 2 weeks (weeks 5&6) and so far everything is still looking good here at 8 weeks. 

    Good luck to you!  I know this is very scary!  There was also a post on this yesterday that got several responses if you want to look back for it.

    First.... CONGRATS!

     I bled bright red and heavy from weeks 5-7 with Jace.  Yup..... 2 agonizing weeks.  I thought for sure there was no way he could survive that kind of blood loss.  Something had to be very wrong.

    They never found the source of the bleeding.

    He's 10 months old now.  Pic in siggy.

    I know how hard it is to deal with this.  Please take care of yourself.  Drink lots of water.  A lot of women who bleed subconsciously decrease their water intake to avoid going to the bathroom and having to check their undies.

    I hope you get more peace of mind with a heart beat in another week.  I also hope you don't see anymore spotting!!

    I had some heavy red bleeding at 7 weeks that lasted about a day. they couldn't find the source of the bleeding but both babies are fine!

    Yes, I had brown spotting that turned to red bleeding at just about 5 weeks.  They never found a reason, and everything turned out fine.

    I am currently on my 3rd bed rest due to bleeding.  Just like you, it was red blood. 

    They say the baby is fine and it can be common in early pregnancy... especially with IF treatments.

    Stay to stay off your feet, drink lots of water and relax!!!

    Dx: PCOS/Amenorrhea/Anovulatory/lining problems. Clomid = BFN's. Lots of cancelled cycles due to thin lining or cysts. IUI#1= Follistim, estrace and endometrin = BFN IUI#2= Repronex, follistim, viagra suppositories and endometrin= BFN. IUI#3= Repronex, follistim, viagra suppositories, femtrace and endometrin= BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isabella born in June via C-section!!!!! She is so incredible!
