Just DH and me. That's what we've always done. Then a couple hours later, we'll call whoever is watching our kids to bring them up and into the room first. THEN whoever brought them next. Then other grandparents, aunts, uncles to follow for the 2 days we're there.

I am so glad you said this because that is EXACTLY how I feel and have thought all of the same things! I talked to my husband about this & he totally agrees and supports me and says he will help talk to people. I was hoping that even if they show up at the hospital before we're ready for them, if I talked to my doctor and the nurses that they wouldn't let them in. And I totally agree with the C-section thing. All along I've just thought "I can't control what happens and if I have to have a C-section, so be it." But then I started thinking those same things and worrying that everyone else would get to see and hold him before I do. If my hospital doesn't typically do that, hopefully if I communicate what I'd like beforehand they'll listen. Thank you again for your insights and advice! Makes me feel lots better!
My DH, mother, and sister will all be attending. My family is very close so it does not bother me to have the extra support! However, it's your decision and no one should influence you to change your mind.
