Anyone have a child starting kinder in PF?

I received an email from PISD yesterday about a new dual language immersion program starting in the district. Basically it's for English speakers but would like them to learn and be fluent is Spanish as well. It's no additional cost and apparently doesn't cost the district anything extra. I would be all over this if DS was starting kinder. If you're interested in the info let me know and I'll forward the email.

  • That's awesome! I hope it's still going strong by the time my kiddos start school.

  • This is becoming more and more popular throughout the country. The district where I used to work had a spanish immersion program as well as one for mandarin chinese. pretty cool.

  • Dual langugae immersion programs are growing strong and with very good researched results! I'm sure we'll start to see lots more of it in the future.
