best (inexpensive) pullups? target brand?

DS's daycare has requested we bring in pullups instead of diapers. (Easier for them to help him sit on the potty.) Are Target's brand any good?

I've used the Target brand ones and they are just like the Huggies Pull-ups. I hate the Meijer brand ones...hth

The Huggies brand ones have a little recloseable tab on the side - so its too much like diapers and has confused DD IMO. I use the Pampers brand ones now - which also tear away at the sides so you can take them off easily while your LO is standing up, but you can't re-close them like diapers.

I would skip the whole pull up thing if you can - your LO can just as easily potty train in regular diapers and school can take her in and out of them while she's standing.

I like target, but also buy Seventh generation from Amazon, if you have amazon mom and use subscribe and save to get 30%, making them close in price to target. (you can just cancel, then reactivate when you need the product, it is easy to do).

I hated the Target ones for night time, but for daytime when he is mostly going on the potty, they are fine. They always leaked overnight though.

I have to say that when I was using pullups on occasion, I used the cheapest, most uncomfortable, cardboardy type pullups I could find.

If I needed to use one, I wanted DS to be uncomfortable.

Having said that, when we switched to underwear, we switched 99%. Used pullups on a few occasions when we were going to be out all day in the beginning and used pullups at night for quite a while.

Our daycare much preferred the pullups that opened on the side. Otherwise, they had to take pants and shoes completely off whenever they changed a wet or dirty pullup to get the new one back on. However, ds had some sort of weird reaction to ALL brands of pullups that open on the side (huggies, white cloud, cvs, etc - I think they're all made by the same company because he had the EXACT same reaction) and broke out in huge blisters everywhere they touched him (belly, legs, butt, etc). We ended up just going to straight underwear after this kept happening.

That's so weird. I posted on here at that time to see if anyone else had ever experienced it and no one had. They were the worst blister-like places and took forever to heal. We didn't try the Target brand though, I didn't know they opend on the sides.

I love the Target brand! Much cheaper and imo they work better not as many leaks. My DD only wears them at bed now but I would highly recommend them.
