Allergies

I usually have trouble with my allergies every year, but now that I'm pregnant it seems 10x worse! I'm waiting to hear back from my midwife about what I can take because I'm beginning to feel horrible! Anyone else having problems with their allergies?

    I am, in fact, allergic to the world.  I have taken Zyrtec through 2 pregnancies and now this one. I take it 2x a day instead of once (per my OB and allergist), just to keep the snot at bay.

     

    Try a sinus rinse to get the pollen out of your nose before you go to bed.

    This! I am also allergic to the world - Either use a neddy pot or Hydrasense, which is just a salt water solution. Works WONDERS!!

    Ugh I have never had allergy issues before but I guess I developed them when I got pregnant. Of course due to my high blood pressure the nurse recommends that I only take tylenol for the headaches so I am basically having to suffer through it Sad

    I use neil med sinus rinse. Much easier than a nettipot! 

    I have sinus pressure/headaches often...but I usually use a warm or cool compress and it kicks it.  I didn't think anything besides tylenol was safe anyway!

    Yes, I usually have seasonal allergies, but these days I am blowing my nose a zillion times a day.  I'm going through Kleenex like crazy!

    I had bad allergies to start with, year round, and it seems pregnancy has just made them worse.  My doctor told me I could continue to take Claritin daily but should not continue using my Flonase nasal spray.

    My OB is letting me take Zyrtec once a day!
