Wilmington playgrounds?

Hi - I am headed to Wilmington for a few days and will have some down time with a 17 month old.   I am hoping someone can tell me of a few good playgrounds with slides and things good for toddlers.

Thanks!

Re: Wilmington playgrounds?

  • We will be by the Target/IHOP area of Market Street and S College Rd/132

I have a car though so can drive to somewhere nearby

  • here's a link to all the parks in the area, but i think hugh mcrae is the closest one to that area.

if you head towards uncw on college road, its a few miles past that going towards carolina beach, at the corner of oleander and college rd.   it's a nice park w/several play grounds, a lake, tons of room to run around.

  • Hugh MacRae is my favorite, it has two playgrounds (one for big kids, one for little kids), plenty of swings, and picnic shelters, walking trail, pond, sports fields, it's also shaded which is nice...there is also Ogden, Greenfield, or Halyburton Park :) have fun!
