Hi! I have a 4 month old, my first, and live in Lawrenceburg. I'm looking for things that are in town, or relatively close, that would be fun to do with the babe. I drive to Lexington to work so the closer I can stay to home the better. Any suggestions?
Re: Lawrenceburg
Wow, I just googled "Lawrenceburg tourism", and there are a LOT of distilleries and wineries around there
. And the Anderson County History Museum...that should be a blast for a 4 month old ;-) I didn't see much else, never been to Lawrenceburg, sorry
I'm not sure what you have available to you as far as nature walks or parks, but my SIL and I used to take her baby girls out in slings and just explain the world to them. "This is called a tree, feel the bark?", "Hear the bird singing?", etc... Anywhere will do, even in town, if the weather cooperates
I've only been to one winery, but it was at Huber's Farm so of course there were tons of other things to take the nieces around and see there....but if they offer hayrides or tours you actually could get baby out of the house to see all the new plants growing in the vineyards.
Post what you decide to do, I'll be having a similar situation about 9 months from now when our LO is about that age
