Just looking at him you can tell and while I read online that it is usually fine for pregnant women to be exposed to it, I still freaked when I read "usually."
Since I already had it, it seems like I'll be okay. Mother can pass immunity to baby. Just one more thing to add to my perpetual list of worry.

That sounds so inappropriate... only DH is allowed to check my titers.
I went to OB today and didn't know DS was getting sick so I had no idea to ask anything.

I have no idea why that posted twice....
DS's babysitter called in a panic because she was exposed while pregnant and had bi-weekly ultrasounds/bloodwork and baby had hearing tests at the beginning because it can cause neurological problems in the unborn baby. Lovely.
Haha.. I was like what's weird about titers then I saw how you saw it tit-ers
I would call your OB and see if they can check your titers to see if you've had it. I'm thinking to do this for a number of things, because as a pediatrician I get exposed to everything... good luck! It's pretty common so you likely already have immunity.

I was exposed with my last pregnancy at 12w. They ran bloodwork, saw I already had the antibodies present and not a current infection and that was it. Maybe your babysitter hadn't ever been exposed before?
