Hello ladies,
I am just wondering if any of you have experienced your success with an IVF cycle being converted to an IUI? This is my first IVF cycle and it was just cancelled due to 2 dominant follicles and the other 11 being substantially smaller. My RE is converting to an IUI, I am having a hard time finding success stories of IVFs converted to IUI and was wondering if any of you have any experience with this. Thanks again for all of your help and I hope each one of you has a healthy and happy pregnancy!!!
Re: Question about IVF converted to IUI success
I had my 3rd IVF attempt converted to an IUI, but it didn't work. I had protocol issues, so I wasn't that surprised that it didn't work.
I hope you have better luck than me.
I am a lurker too and I had my first IVF cycle cancelled because I only produced TWO good follicles and one small follicle. Needless to say I was very upset. We had been trying for three years. We were given two choices, convert to an IUI or try IVF again in three months (our clinic was shutting down for Christmas). Our Doctor told us we would have a good chance with superovulation IUI. He told my my two follicles would most likely produce two eggs and that would be perfect for this procedure. - I hope I am remebering this all correctly.
I guess what I am trying to say it IT WORKED and I am 28 weeks this week. So don't give up hope, which I know is hard.
Good luck
