Anyone with ruptured ovarian cysts?

I am in bed for the 2nd straight day. I think my 4cm cysts are bursting or grew even bigger. The pain is in my lower back on the side where the cysts are. The pain was bad yesterday am and then got better. Well, it is bad again this morning and I had to call in sick to work again. I called the doctor and she isn't having me come info an u/s and b/w until tomorrow morning. She is calling in vicodin for me to the pharmacy. I really wanted them to look today. I can't believe how much pain this can cause.  Has anyone experienced this and have any advice?

TTC #1 since 8/1/10; Me:41 and BRCA1+, DH:46
DOR (FSH 24.3)/ terrible egg quality ; homozygous MTHFR c677t
5 IUI's: 2/11 to 6/11 and 1/12= BFN
OE IVF#1-4 8/11-6/12= all BFN
DE IVF#1 11/12 bad embryos= BFN
DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d
CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE
DE IVF #3 1/14  ET 4BB; BFP;M/C 5w1d, incomplete m/c; MVA extraction in ER 7w1d

DE FET#1 ET 3/1714; BFP, beta 1 3/27= 197, beta 2 3/31= 1586, beta 3 4/7= 13879!!
First u/s= Twins with HBs at 6w2d! We are Team Pink x 2!!

    I don't have any advice for this, but I just wanted to send feel better wishes your way.  I'm sorry they are making you wait until tomorrow.  Hopefully the vicodin will relieve your pain.  Hang in there.

    Me: 36, DH: 42
    Dx: DOR and MFI

    DH: low count + very low motility; hormones all normal; Sperm DNA Frag. test = poor to fair; male karyotyping normal
    Me: FSH 13.4 + AMH 0.26 + hypothyroidism; Scratch the hypothyrodism (?); Blood clotting and immune panel all negative; endometrial biopsy normal

    IVF #1 (MDLF - Jul/Aug 2011): BFN (9R, 5M, 3F with ICSI, 3dt of 1 10-cell grade 2, no frosties)
    IVF #2 (EP-antagonist - Sep/Oct 2011): BFN (6R, 4M, 3F w/ ICSI, 3dt of 1 6-cell, 1 7-cell, grade 4s, no frosties)
    DE IVF #1 (shared cycle - June 2012): c/p (6R, 6F w/ICSI, 3dt 1 8-cell grade A- and 1 7-cell grade A-; no frosties)
    DE IVF #2 (shared cycle with new donor - Nov/Dec/ 2012): - BFP!!!!! 12/14/12. U/S on 12/27 shows twins!!!!!

    I've never had one at that size, but actually just today I had the aspiration procedure.  Not fun.  You might be lucky to let it resolve itself but with the pain you are in maybe not.  let me say that pain I experienced today was like nothing I've ever endured before.   I hope you feel better soon!
    About me: A pixie in the city, 41, TTC #1 since May 2010, married 18 years. Diagnosed with, surgically removed, endometrioma Aug.2010 Sept 2010 IUI #1=BFN, Oct=cyst/bfn, Nov 2010 IUI #2 = bfn. Had to postpone IUI #3 b/c of a cyst natural=BFN. Skipped IUI #3, decided to go for IVF. Found/removed uterine polyps Jan 2011. IVF cancelled, no follicles. IVF #2: 3 great embies put in on Easter Sunday = BFN. Hoping for another chance at IVF in July. TTC is NOT for wimps. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ticker/2fab90/ttc.png

    How do you feel after the aspiration? Were you in any pain before the procedure?  How was the decision made to aspirate versus letting it resolve on its own? Length of time of it being there? I remember you having it but don't remember if that was February?

    mostly feeling ok.  maybe some pms type cramps.  some bleeding.  it didnt hurt at all before but i guess cysts release estrogren so i cant stim if its there.  so i had to get it removed in order to move fwd with ivf.  i have had them before and they come after o some cycles and usually fade over a few weeks.  i did one iui with it present b/c b/w showed minimal estrogen but needed to have it totally gone for ivf

    They wouldn't let me cycle this month either because they were producing estrogen.  I just wish I knew what was going on inside of me. It feels like someone is sticking a knife in my lower back. All I can imagine is that they grew to the size of a baseball. The fun of IF never stops!

     Good luck with this IVF cycle. I hope they find a great protocol for you.

    I've had one ruptured cyst and, while my symptoms didn't last quite as long as yours have (I was done in about 36 hours), it was agonizingly painful.  Vicodin will be your new best friend.

    I took a few hot baths and that seemed to help.  Also, I was really into yoga at the time and did some spiral stretches and that seemed to relieve my back issues a bit.

    I hope you start feeling better soon.  I'm so sorry.  It is an awful thing to go through.

    No experience with cysts (at least so far, knocking on wood...), but hoping you're feeling better soon!
    Me: 41, DH 43 TTC #1 since 8/09 CP 10/09.
    3/11 Clomid-Ovidrel-IUI #1-progesterone= BFN.
    5/11 Femara-Bravelle-Ovidrel-IUI#2-progesterone=BFN.
    6/11 Femara-Ovidrel-IUI#3-progesterone=BFP!
    Beta #1 7/1: 39. Beta #2 7/5: 301 U/S 7/19 - saw HB!!
    EDD 3/12/12
    DD born 3/5/12
    Baby #2 Beta #1 12/16: 439.  Beta #2 12/18: 1240

    I had a cyst that ruptured last month at work.. the pain was SEVERE and I used a heating pad on my stomach to relieve the pain.  Once it ruptures there is a lot of free fluid that needs to be reabsorbed and will cause pain for several days after.  I hope you feel better soon...Hang in there.  I should have stayed home form work and taken Vicodin...good idea!
