Ahhhh I try to keep my mouth shut about other parenting choices. But this FB friend has a picture of her 8 month old in a convertible car seat and the caption says "Facing forward like a big boy!"

    I agree with Kirky, I wouldn't publicly embarrass her but I would say something to her privately.  I also agree with Kirky, include the proper research when you approach her.

    Ditto pp's. But don't get offended if she makes some passive aggressive status update or doesn't respond. You've done your due diligence to make sure she is aware of the guidelines.

    Nah I wouldn't be offended.. she's a really sweet person, I think she'll appreciate it. And if not, oh well ;) we're not very close.

    I would also say something in a message, not to mention if she got pulled over she can be cited fined and ticketed for it.

    How much does the baby weigh?

    The standard is 1 year or 20 pounds.

    She can legally turn her kid forward facing if he weighs enough. Not that I condone being forward facing so soon.

    I agree with pps.  I might say something like "hey, I came across this link about car seats recently and thought I'd pass it along since it's so new.  Hope things are going well!"
