How do you store your powder formula?

We live in Florida and the moisture here is ridiculous. The Enfamil container is useless. I noticed N's formula gets a little sticky. And I lose some on the scoop, lid and the bag. So the question is do you store your formula in anything other then the tub it comes in? And if so what worked for you?

Re: How do you store your powder formula?

  • Do you keep the formula in the bag or do you dump it in the container?  I keep mine in the bag inside the container and haven't had many problems losing powder yet.  When the bag starts to get low and it is hard to get the scoop in there, I dump what's left in the bag into the new container's bag so it's easier to scoop.

Awesome idea...ty :) I'll buy one tomorrow. And to pp yes I keep it in the bag, in the container and it still gets all sticky :( But great idea about dumping the bottom remainder into the new bag cause it's a biatch to get the rest out and you get it all over the place.

  • I use Prosobee and I have not seen it in the fancy container that the regular Enfamil comes in. I have been using the smaller can and I have not had any problems with that type of can. It has a metal lid and bottom but the sides seem to be cardboard. Maybe that can would work better for you? We get pretty humid here in the summer, I don't remember this happening with my other two kids and this size can.

  • We bought a small can of Gentlese when we switched and I pour from the bag into that can all the time.  It has worked great for us.  I have had a little on the scoop, but I blamed it on getting some water on the scoop.  I like the idea of the jar though.
