We're going on a trip from Saturday through next Wednesday or Thursday. DH suggested maybe we just bring the bouncy seat for our 3 month old to sleep in instead of his pack n play. We'll be staying in hotels. It would make things a lot easier, since we already have to bring one pnp for the toddler (we have 2, so we could bring both). It would be a lot easier to whip out his bouncy seat than set up a pnp. And DS sleeps a lot better in the bouncy seat. Would you do this, or no? I'm just not sure if it's a good idea.

I'm not sure that I would. Depending on your LOs size maybe get a RnP? It looks like it would fold up easily and be easy to travel with. I've also seen "travel" cribs/bassinets - that might be a better option, too.

Also, don't a lot of hotels offer cribs? If you bring wipes to clean it with and your own crib sheet it might be okay.
I had never heard of a RnP until recently so I just looked it up. It looks just like a bouncy seat that's higher up and maybe doesn't bounce. Why would one of these be better than a bouncy seat? Is it safer for some reason? It kind of looks a little tippy actually.
Here's the bouncy seat we have, fyi.
It's actually designed for sleeping in whereas a bouncy seat is not. It's deeper and more sturdy.
I just want to give you a world as beautiful as you are to me.
I agree - although the bouncy seat we have is deeper than most, there's really not a big difference between this and the RnP. DD sleeps in this right now in our room because of her reflux.
This is what we are bringing for an upcoming 4 day trip for our 3 month old and I'm not worried about it.
