Although I love being pregers and cant wait to tell everyone I have to. I am a promotional model part time and want to work as long as possible but I am starting to gain weight and need a good piece of shapewear or a tummy cincher. First is something like a cincher safe to wear? And second are there any good ones that anyone can recommend?
Re: Tummy Tucker
In my bag: Nikon D90; 35mm 1.8, 90mm 2.8 macro (my fave), Lensbaby Composer with macro extensions. BFP after 13 cycles and one ectopic. Lost left tube 5/19/10.
They aren't safe. Baby needs room to grow. If you restrict that room, your baby can have major health issues.
Have you looked into maternity modeling? Work that baby bump!

I wouldnt think it would be a huge deal to wear one especially in 1st tri when you dont really have a pg belly and the uterus is still low and tucked behind the pubic bone for a while. I would probably go with a shapewear vs. a tummy cincher and make sure its not so tight that its going to effect your breathing. I have this from Target that I wore post-partum and it was good b/c it just smoothed everything out and kind of sucked me in a little but not so much that it was uncomfortable to wear.
The other reason I think they are safe is because Spanx makes a maternity line of shapewear. Maybe you could find something in this collection that would work.
