A little nervous...

So as some of you know- I'm due May 1st. This is my first pregnancy and has been fun and CrAzy! haha

I'm a very active person- and My doc has officially put me on "take it easy" - meaning I had to lessen my hours at work (as a dance instructor) nd  can no longer travel :(.

I'm already 70% effaced(& have been for the last 3 weeks)  and starting to get freaked out. My doctor said I will most likely deliver early.

Part of me is SOOOO Excited to meet our son- so I wouldn't  mind going into labor today... HOWEVER- MY baby shower is April 9th so I Really don't have EVERYTHING I need. I have the basics- basinett, diapers, clothes, carseat, etc... But I do not feel ready!

AND For my office job I don't start maternity leave until April 18th. ( I know that's crazy but Im a private contractor and do not get paid leave). Every little twinge I am praying is not a sign of labor! lol

Anyone else effaced WAY before their due date??  Or anyone else wiggin out like me??

    I've been dilated 1cm 50% effaced since 28 weeks, and I am now 32 wks. I won't get checked again until the 11th. It's really hard to predict when a woman will go into labor. Everyone is different, so there's no way of really knowing unfortunately. I also have the baby shower on the 9th, and am FAR from "ready." I wish you the best and hope your LO keeps cookin longer :) If he does decide to come early, it seems like you have what you need to start out. Good luck!! Thoughts and prayers sent your way.

    I am 1 cm dilated and 60% effaced but Dr. says that really is not an indication of when I will go into labor

    I am not diliated at all but I seriously get nervous every morning that "today is the day". I know it is stupid but I can't help it. And my due date is May 19th, way after yours. Even if you don't make it to your shower I am sure most of your family and friends will still come through. In the mean time I would make sure that the nursery is as ready as you can get it.

    Than you ladies soo much!!! I knew talking to you would make me feel better!!! My thoughts n prayers are with all of you for a smooth remainder of PG and a QUICK delivery ;)
