I worry about my sanity

So I have been playing around on craigslist and have noticed some very nice baby items at very inexpensive prices.  I brought up with my DH checking out craigslist for baby products when we finally get our BFP, and he got kind of frustrated, he doesn't like talking about it because it hasn't happened yet and when it does he wants brand new, blah blah blah.  I think he's being unreasonable and I think when the actual time comes to start buying things when I sit him down and show him the cost of new he'll change his mind.

In the mean time I'm fighting the urge to buy things now and store them at my friends house.  I know, ridiculous, but there was a glider with ottoman for $15!!!  And a brand new baby swing for $40!  Its like a tease.  I should probably just stay off of that particular part of the site but I'm a planner and when I have nothing better to do I fantasize. 

Is anyone suffering from this lapse in sanity...

    It's totally normal to be dreaming about baby items - and many of us have even bought things.   When we were first starting TTC (almost 2 years ago!) - I bought a few things that were a "great deal" - and luckily I stopped since we are still not pregnant.  Now I am not going to buy anything until I get a BFP and even then - I will wait until the chance of m/c is over.   The craigslist deals will still be there where it is your turn - but I know its hard to resist!  GL!

    Yep, it's tough. Seems like everyone I know who has gotten PG has registered for the SAME boy bedding that I fell in love with forever ago... (I'm weird about having everything different from ppl I know lol). And on Etsy, there was the cutest Very Hungry Caterpillar quilt....BUT I feel like if I went through with buying it, I'd be doomed and I know DH and other family would think I'm crazy. Embarrassed But yeah, I know how you feel.

    I think everyone does! But I will say I did buy two baby VT jerseys that were on sale back in December and I wish I didn't. I felt like it was counting my chickens way to early and hence why I am still no preggers. I do think buying some stuff depending what it is off craiglist is fine. I'd rather save money on some items and spend more on something else!

    Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

    6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

    I hear you!  I go back and forth and for a while was going to buy a crib and dresser set and use it as a head board and storage for the full size bed in our guest room.  DH vetoed that idea and I am glad he did, less to move when the time comes and less for me to look at and think about what might have been.
    Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!
