Haven't had an idiot exH post in a while... Here you go!

So the first payment of L's new preschool/daycare is tomorrow. exH attended ALL of the meetings with the principal with me to explain the billing system, etc.

I gave exH the log in information 3 weeks ago. he just call med -- disgruntled-- that he could log in. Um, ask them about it, don't *** to me about it. I changed my password, and let him log in through my information so he could see. (apparently he still can't figure it out though.) I also explained to him that I had a flow chart (I ? flow charts!) that explained exactly how much he owed that I went over with the secretary this morning.

He got all huffy and puffy. "I didn't know it was going to be $200+."
Where the hell were you at the entire meetings??

Prorated tuition amount-- $344 monthly. Books and supplies prorated amount--$50. Before/after school care since I don't work only from 830-330. $0.75/15 minutes.

Idiot. He is the one who made me switch daycare because he didn't help me pick out the last one (after I had issues with exMIL watching L due to smoking, poor nutrition, car seat safety, lack of discipline, etc.) Would have been waaay cheaper to go there.

I don't want him to *** because I have been paying for daycare alone since October. he hasn't dropped a dime in the bucket other than the $118/month in child support I receive. (Yes, I know that not everyone receives child support.)

BLAAAAHHHHH!!

Anyways, best friends weekend starts tomorrow. My best friend, her husband, his best friend & new girlfriend, and the BF. We are all the best of friends (except the BF and new girlfriend) who have never met everyone.

No not at all. It sounds like he was sleeping during your meetings instead of actually listening. Good luck!

No, not at all.  Why does he need you to hold his hand or nag him to get through everything?  What a PITA!  I'm sorry you are the only adult here!

When my divorce is final ex will have to pay, maybe, $100 a month.  But I'm expecting I will receive $0.

R9, no, he is being an idiot.  Kevin's dad used to do stuff like that too.  They get all flustered when they have to do something and get huffy.  Hope everything works out.

  • Totally new to this ... so he's paying $318 a month towards raising his child (theoretically if he pays his share of daycare/preschool) and he's COMPLAINING?  I bet my poor DH would love that set up.  LOL  No wonder you divorced him.

He only pays $118/month in child support.   Well, actually it is supposed to be $133/month, but b/c of the way they figure out child support it ends up being $124/month.  Then, I have to pay a $3 on of our check for even having it garnished.    Um, why do I have to pay it when he is the one  who wouldn't pay it in the first place??

The kicker?  If I received food stamps, child care help, etc, I wouldn't have to pay that $3 (and the $3 is based on a percent of the check-- so if I ever receive more, then I have to pay more).

And 118 a month?!  What the hell does that even cover?!  Does he pay insurance or any other extras (besides day care of course)?

    He pays for insurance.

At the time it was calculated, his mom was watching L so I didn't have anything I paid to counter act that insurance.  (does that make sense??)  He also wasn't in preschool at the time.

We both make in the mid $20k range for salary, but because he pays for insurance, I didn't have anything to weight down the other side.
