If your LO always needs to be held. At what point?

Do you sit them down in a bouncer next to you and let them be fussy for a few minutes to learn that they ca not always be held?

    I would let them fuss for a bit - give them toys to play with. Try some different positions - do they like to lay on their backs on a mat? on their tummy? Sit with a boppy supporting them? Bumbo? Sometimes I even set her in the stroller near me so she can see what I'm doing.

    If my LO starts crying, I will usually pick her up pretty quickly, but she usually doesn't cry without a reason. She will fuss when she gets tired or is bored. It also depends on what I'm doing. If I'm in the middle of making dinner, I'll let her fuss a bit until I can pick her up.

    Thanks! I thought it would be a cute pic... she doesn't really get to play with my phone (yet!).

    We actually live in London (UK). We moved in September, but the bump won't let me change my location.... we did live in Glendora (near Pasadena). Ah... I miss it!

    Thats cool... My sister lived in England for like a year but is now in Maine.
