I am so jealous. My DH and I have been wanting to buy a new fridge since we bought our house pretty much (7 years ago) but it is never at the top of the budget so unless the darn things stops working, I have a feeling I will never get my new one. We were so close to getting it this winter but then had to buy a new dryer instead since our stopped working. I already have the one I want picked out and everything. I drool over it everytime I see it.
Our current one came with the house and is circa 1984. We have a home warranty and have been waiting for it to die, but the warranty is expiring next week and the fridge hasn't.
I saved up the money from selling a bunch of stuff they left in the house on CL and we got an unexpected refund from our old homeowner's policy, so I will only be out of pocket about $100 for this one. I may even drop that down to $50 or so by selling the current fridge once I clean it up some more.

Does your state have an appliance recycling program? In my state, if you have a refrigerator or freezer built prior to 1993, they will pick it up for recycling (free) and give you $50 cash. It might save you some hassle if they do!
