So at 16w we had a elective 3d/4d ultrasound done at a local place. The cord was between LO's legs but the nurse said "If I had to guess, I would say girl" Lucky for us this place has a " policy" that if they can not determine gender you get to come back for free.
So at 17w2d we return. Some of our family in toe. We get in and the tech is as sure as the sun rises that its a boy. She prints us out some photos and while we cant really see his penis, we trust her. Our family was happy and we were thrilled as could be.
FF to yesterday. We had our " official" scan at the Dr's and our baby boy looked healthy as ever, kicking around moving and looking great. We told the nurse we did want to know, but already had a scan and we knew it was a boy. Then we got to his crotch. No penis. No penis anywhere. What was there were 3 white lines. The Tech looked about 5 or 6 times just to make sure.
So it looks like our brief stint on team blue is over and we are now heading onto team Pink. ![]()
Re: team blue? team pink!
Crazy! At least you know for sure now.
I had my anatomy scan on Tuesday and the tech couldn't tell for sure. So we are maybe team blue? Not for sure, but we go for a follow-up ultrasound in two weeks. The uncertainty is killing me!
That's crazy!
We have our a/s today and I'm hoping our she is still a she!
My Blog - Taking You Home
My biggest fear. We go on Friday for the BIG one! The one we had at 17weeks was "just for fun"/ I hadn't had an u/s so the doc was letting me go....
They found a spot on the heart, "echogenic foci", which we are getting relooked at on Friday, so fingers are crossed that is fine because all the blood work came back negative. I also am worried they might be like just kidding, it's really a boy!
Glad you got it all straightened out, I just hope you didn't go and buy as much stuff as I have (knowing only 85%-90% sure it's a girl).
