2nd time moms + plus size moms..bathing suit question

Bathing suit question.....I know I won't need one until late May/June, but I have been looking around. I would like a bathing suit to swim laps in. Thusfar I have gained 13lbs and am 22 wks. Obviously I can't predict how much weight I will ultimately gain, but I would like to buy only one bathing suit, if possible. Do you think I can get away with ordering a size up from my current size and just buy a plus size one piece or is a maternity one really better?

If you're buying a one piece, maternity is probably better. Otherwise, your belly may pull the top down past your boobs...

maternity gives you the support that you need. I would get one if i was going to spend the money.

I would definitely buy a maternity swim suit. They are sooo supportive- I can't imagine a non-maternity suit feeling comfortable.

I just wore my same old tankini. But, I wasn't due until October, so I wasn't as far along as you will be.
