I know that everyone is different but just wondering what, if any, side effects people had going off the pill? I've been on it about 5 years and just went off starting this week. I had a headache last night with a weird sensitivity to light and have had a little bit of an upset stomach. Could be a coincidence that I don't feel well this week... but just thought I'd check. Thanks!

Re: side effects of going off the pill?
Changes in hormones have been known to cause migraine headaches, which can cause the symptoms you listed... Could be a coincidence, but probably nothing to worry about. If it continues and is concerning you, you could put a call in to your doctor. GL!
BTW - If you are going off BCP's to try to conceive - definitely wait a cycle or two before trying. Hyper ovulation is common after coming off the pill (see my siggy)

I didn't really have any issues. I had been on the pill for about 6 years when I went off (mainly went off because I kept forgetting to take it, and DH worked overnights so we never really saw eachother). My cycles became very inconsistent, and 5 months later I was pregnant by surprise.
I went off the pill again in October 2009, and was pregnant 2 weeks later. I spent weeks in constant fear that we were going to have twins because of hyper ovulation (like pp mentioned), LOL.
