2nd Trimester

Belly is peeling!

I was laying on my back and I could have sworn that I was getting tiny white stretch marks ALL over my belly.  Of course, I started crying but then I realized it was skin peeling off.  (kinda gross I know lol)

Anyone else having to constantly lube their guts?

  • So far, I only have to frequently lotion the sides of my breasts (TMI), since they've grown a lot more than my belly (which has grown up instead of out so far). But I'm starting to get the dry skin there a little bit, too. So it won't be too long. :/

My lotion sucks, however. I'm in the market for a new one that actually works. Bath and Body Works lotions are just for smelling nice, I've concluded.

  • I use Burts Bees Mama Bee belly oil.  I put a little bit on every single night before I go to bed. It seems to help!

Totally.  My peely belly smells good, but that is about it.

  • Try using something fragrance free. The fragrances can actually dry out your skin more

  • Yeah, my belly needs more moisturizer nowadays. So, I just rub in a thick layer of my favorite lotion after I shower. This tends to keep me moisturized for the rest of my day.

  • I used this with my last pregnancy and it worked well.
