Sense of smell like a bloodhound!

I feel bad even saying, but I just almost had a public vomit session...i was in line at a deli waiting for my lunch (chef salad with no deli meat!) and i smelled something awful...i was starting to get hot and feel my stomach turn and then i turned my head towards an "older" lady (maybe mid 60's, which isn't "old", but in any case...), i smelled a few-hours-old urine on her...i felt like i was in NY penn station and couldn't get out fast enough...never felt like i was going to get sick like that before...my sense of smell is very keen now compared to when i first found out i was pg and it may be a curse if i could potentially get sick in public!

    I just had such a similar experience! I was on the train home from work and there was a man sitting near me who must have bathed in curry sauce (or not bathed at all for weeks) because he stunk! My nose was actually burning and I had nowhere to go. I had to cover my nose and try to breathe through my mouth for 15 minutes.

    AHH! I've noticed this too...I can smell EVERYTHING. It's gotten more and more pronounced the farther along I progress...I hope it peaks at some point because it's definitely an issue.

    PS, I love your girl's name choice. It was at the top of our list and we were going to spell it Merryn. So pretty!

    thanks!  we are spelling it like that b/c it's after my great-grandmother, mary, and dh's great-great grandmother, mary...i also liked marin, but people would pronounce it mar-in instead of mah-rin like we are going to..plus, there is a model of a bike, marin

    I work in a bank and people come in here smelling like they haven't bathed in weeks.  ugh.  It's the worst thing ever right now.

    DH thinks I'm making things up most of the time when I say I smell something. The other day I smelled bbq ribs inside our house and he thought I was losing my mind, but on our way to his parents' house we passed a family grilling in their back yard about a mile down our road.
