Hello,
My first urine culture taken during my pregnancy was GBS+. They said the colony counts were low but put me on an antibiotic for about a week. About two weeks later, I was finding that my urine was very cloudy every once and a while, but I was not experiencing any other symptoms of a urinary tract infection (I've had several urinary tract infections in the past, and this was definitely not the same). I went in for a second urine culture which also came up GBS+, also with a low colony count (<10,000). My doctor said that both results were probably just GBS contamination from my skin and not a true urinary tract infection with GBS. I asked him about the cloudy urine and he said this might also be a result of the GBS contamination which I thought was odd since it was very very cloudy and not what I would consider to be a low colony count. I've read that cloudy urine can be a symptom of other issues, and I asked the doctor specifically about that and he just said it was probably the GBS. But I'm skeptical and wanted to get your thoughts...
