Half my frosties exploded :(
My clinic just called to tell me that one of the tubes exploded in the thaw. Apparently this happens in 1 in about every 300.
I have (or should I say had) 11 embryos frozen on day of ER, so they're considered 'day 1'. We are thawing all 11, as we have no idea of quality. I was so hopeful we could get to a day 5 transfer and was kind of pinning my hopes on that.
Now 5 of the 11 are gone and I will almost certainly do a 3 day instead. DH is out of town with work and trying to see if he can get back. Thankfully he signed all the paperwork before he left.
I'm trying to focus on the fact that we have embryos at all and that plenty of people get their BFP from a 3dt.
I was feeling so good about this cycle, my lining is finally cooperating, but this news just really caught me off guard.

We will def look into it, but the way my RE put it, its just one of those things that can happen... but I guess she's not going to admit any fault!

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.
