  I had to be on insulin last pregnancy. I again failed my 1 hr so bad last week I didnt need to bother with the 3 hr. My doc wanted to put me on insulin injections right away but luckily I decided to check some sugars first since they are way lower right now diet controlled than they ever were last time, even with the insulin. I will probably end up back on it at some point. And yes, no sweets, bread or fruit for the next six months makes me want to cry.

  When did they have you do the 1 hour test?

  My doc wanted me to do it as soon as I got pregnant but I begged her to let me wait until I got out of first tri since I knew I couldn't do the diet and handle the morning sickness together. When I was spilling sugar at my 12 week appt it couldn't wait any more.

  I just took my 1 hour test on Monday and am waiting for my results.  I had the option of taking it at my last appt or before this appt.  I waited.  I had been checking my fasting blood sugar and usually did a post-prandial every couple of days.  I haven't had any high readings, but I have been trying to follow the diet.  Who knows if I passed the 1 hour.  The lab said that the results would be in by today.  I didn't want to call my dr's office and pester them.  I hope they call tomorrow.  I will call Friday if I haven't heard from them.

  I was insulin dependent last pregnancy, and I am started testing my blood 4x a day at 5 weeks pregnant with this one.  My fasting numbers are super duper high, so I am only 7 weeks pregnant and I am already on Glyburide at bedtime.  It is gonna be a long 40 weeks.
