this is my first pregnancy. the last time i had my preiod was jan 11 but when i went for an ultrasound on saturday they told me i would be 12 weeks on the 27th she said the baby was probably conceived on the 15/16 of jan. when i told her i was on my period those days she said then it might have been the 25/26 of jan instead isnt there something to know exactly when the baby was conceieved and exactly how many weeks the baby is? how are they going to know the baby is healthy and progressing right if they don't know how many weeks it is?! the bump says i'm 11 weeks. i'm so confused!
also if i'm 12 or 11 weeks shouldn't the nausea be going away because it's kinda getting worse! I've been sick pretty much since i found out i was pregnant & it wont go away!
Re: help!!
Well, did you start your period on on Jan. 11? I know when I went for my first u/s I didnt know my last missed period and the u/s technician gave me one EDD and then the doctor met with me and gave me an earlier EDD (just by a couple days).
And some women have ms for longer than the 1st trimester- probably something you dont want to hear!
This, though she's likely too late for a dating u/s. As for m/s, mine was worst around 10-12 weeks. It finally, mostly, went away around 16-17 weeks. It still comes back to visit though.
Charting is watching your body for signs of fertility/ovulation, and recording it on a chart. EDDs are based off an "average" cycle length of 28 days with ovulation occurring on cycle day 14. Very few people actually follow this exactly, so that's why if you don't chart, your EDD is just a wild guess. The ultrasound is more accurate.
I suggest you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility before you have sex again. Its like an Ovary Owners Manual. Your lack of knowledge about your own reproductive system is alarming to me.
thank you i feel much better now.
thank you for the info & tips.
thank you so much. & i just hope the ms doesn't last all pregnancy
::DEAD::
But I so agree. Read it.
I'll be 19 weeks on Friday and I still have ms at least once a day, everyday....I don't wish it upon anyone. Good luck!
