IUI ladies

I'm finally moving forward with d-iui this month. I'm on cycle day 1 and have a question. I am going in for an ultrasound Thursday and then I'll start clomid on day 5. I was just wondering what the chances are of having a cancelled cycle because of poor lining with clomid? I am feeling very hopeful and excited but I also want to be prepared for the earliest possibility of disappointment. Thank you! :)
12/09- DH dx Azoo 2/23/10- DH's ultrasound and FSH show normal results but no sperm! 3/10- 1st RE appt 4/12/11- d-iui #1 4/25- BFP!!! Still in shock! BabyFruit Ticker

    I don't know what the chances are for having a cancelled cycle, but when I used clomid for two cycles I had no change in the thickness of my lining.  GL!

    I feel your pain on anticipating disappointment but it is hard to predict your response (although they can give you supplements to try to plump up your lining and save the cycle if it is an issue).  Also, my understanding is that for a lot of ladies, it takes several cycles to thin one's lining (thus why REs don't let you do Clomid for months and months).  Loads of luck with the cycle!

    IUIs #1-5, January 2011 - June 2011 = BFN
    IVF #1 in July/August 2011 = BFP!!!!!

    They might give you Progesterone to take after you O to plump your lining.
    Me: 27, DH: 28 TTC since 11/09
    2/10 & 3/10 Clomid 50mg-BFN
    5/10-Lap Surgery for Stage 2 Endo
    3/11-IUI#1 with Follistim and Menopur-developed mild OHSS= BFN
    6/11-IUI#2 with Follistim -developed moderate OHSS= BFN!
    7/11-FSH-11, AMH 1.6
    9/11-ttc naturally with positive thoughts :)
    10/6/11-POSITIVE pregnancy test!!! 15dpo BETA-220
    6/14/2012- Riley Harper arrived!! We love our little girl

    Our first IUI was 50 mg of Clomid. It did thin my lining, it was a 5 mm. We still did the IUI.

     I have stopped using Clomid, since then they have been an 8 mm or larger.

    I did 5 rounds of Clomid, my lining didn't thin too much till the 5th cycle. The RE just put me on Estradiol. It's an estrogen pill and they will have you take it vaginally. My lining was 5mm and within in 4 days it increased to 10mm. The estrogen quickly thickens up the lining. You might not have that s/e  at all.

    I had 5 cycles on clomid and never had a lining issue. GL hun!
