vet recommendations in NW Austin

We are spending money right now every month at Banfield and while I like them and it has been worth the monthly fee so they get a teeth cleaning, we are wanting to eliminate the monthly cost and just budget in for their vet appts.  Who do you use and how often do you go for vaccinations?  I kind of thinki Banfield might do extras that we don't really need.

    One of my dogs goes to Banfield and one has a normal vet. We spend way more at the normal vet than at Banfield. The teeth cleaning for my lab is going to run us at least $600. If there was any way we could get him on a plan like BF we totally would, but he is 10 so it's just not possible at this point. We love our other vet (Allandale Vet on Burnet), we just spend more there. I would say average is $300 for a checkup.

    ETA: Sorry, just realized I didn't answer your question. He goes in twice a year for vaccinations and checkups.

    we go here https://www.researchpet.com/. our original vet office merged with them. they are right at 183/duval. ive never gone anywhere else but ive been happy with our experience here. we go for kennel cough vac every 6 months cause we board our dog alot besides that he goes for a once a year check up and gets whatever is required at that time.

    When I lived up North, I used Dr. Sunbury.  I was told by a friend I referred there, that he's pretty inexpensive compared to other vets she's been to in Austin.  Our dogs would go in twice a year for vaccinations.  I very highly recommend him because he's a wonderful, kind and supportive vet.  We went through a lot with our last dog, and everyone at Sunbury was compassionate and willing to see us whenever it was necessary.  He's off of Parmer & FM 1325.  I even considering driving up there when we bought a house down South because I enjoy them so much.

    I LOVE our vet.  We have an older dog and he is absolutely awesome with him, Austin Animal Clinic on N. Lamar (near Central Market).  I also have a referral card that gives you $20 off if you're interested, I can mail it to you or something.
