When did you get your anatomy scan results?

We had our scan last Friday. The doctor still needed to look at the pictures. So I am wondering when you found out your results. I am still nervous since I haven't heard anything about them yet. Though the tech said everything looked good to him, but he's just trained to run the machine...

I always have a dr appt right after and get the results right then.

At our hospital the doctor always comes in and talks to us after the U/S. In fact, he took his own quick look around - checked out the heart, brain, kidneys, confirmed the sex, etc.

I did have an appointment right after, but the radiology department is actually a company that is 2 hours away and they apparently have to send the information there first before the doctor gets it. Even though it's in the hospital! I am hoping that the tech is trained enough to know if there was something drastically wrong, but I just want to KNOW that everything is okay.

Would it be okay to call the doctor and find out if she's had a chance to look yet? Or should I just wait for her to call or my next appointment next week?

I think you need to call that office ASAP. This is too long to go without hearing from the doctor. It is standard practice to know at the scan what you are having.

With DD we got the results right away. My OB sent us to the hospital u/s clinic for the anatomy scan, and they had a dr there that read the results. Since there was a problem, they discussed it with us right away, then sent the file to my reg OB.

Similar situation with DS, but we had moved and our new OB sent all patients to a perinatalogist's office for the 18 week u/s. Again a concern was found, so we met with the peri right away who discussed the results with me, and sent my file on to my reg OB.

I think had there been no concerns, then our file and results would have been sent on to my reg OB to discuss at my next appt, but I don't know for certain as we've always had markers show up on our scans.

My peri did the scan, so I had the results immediately. With my doctor's office, no news is good news, so try not to worry. You can always call and ask for the results.

I just had mine this past monday and the tech told me right then and there what we were having. I did not have an app with my dr afterwards. I go in two more weeks for my monthly check up.

With mine, the tech did her scan and took all the pictures and then a doctor came in and looked over her pictures and did a few of his own. We were told right away that everything looked ok. I understand if you are just seen by a tech that they might not be able to give you the reults. I would def call your doctor's office to find out if they have received them. My OB told me that for any tests that are done for me they won't always call if the results are fine, but she said if I want to know just call and ask.

Our a/s was done at a different location than our doctor's office, but a doctor did come in right away and tell us that everything looked good and that he would send our results to my doctor. My doctor reviewed the results with me at my next appointment (so a month later).

If you are stressing about it, just call and ask for the results. I'm assuming all is well, otherwise they would have called you sooner so you could make the necessary appointments, take the next steps, or whatever.

Our tech said everything looked fine but we got the official ok from my midwife about 3 business days later. Normally they only call you if there's a problem tho, if you didn't hear anything it's probably fine.

Ultrasound was Monday, no results yet at yesterday's doctor appt. I called the doc office a few minutes ago and they said everything looked good with the results. I'm glad I called.

Don't hesitate to call if need be.

Thanks for the reassurance ladies... for those of you who thought I was concerned about the gender. puh-lease! We didn't want to know the gender, so that was NOT the concern. I was just concerned if the baby was developing okay. The only info the tech could give was that baby was in the 61st percentile. Which didn't seem to be a concern, just 1 day behind where we originally thought, but he said the earlier u/s is more accurate for dating.

Sorry about the snarky-ness in there.
