What to do with old sentimental t-shirts?

Are any of you like me and have a drawer or bin full of old t-shirts that you just can't seem to part with? I have old dance shirts, college shirts, etc. that I know I'll never wear again, but just can't seem to throw away. DH has a bunch too. I've seen the quilt idea and like that, but I was wondering what some other keepsake options could be? Thanks!

  • I have a slew of shirts from my college boyfriend's fraternity formals, my old greek week shirts, all sorts of stuff like that. On the one hand it's strange to wear them but on the other hand I can't see Omega Mu Gamma White Rose Bash 1997 being a hot item at Goodwill so I never donate them either. And so they sit until it's time to paint another room. Then they become paint clothes.

  • I have a t-shirt that I had since I was 14.  Well, it is no longer a t-shirt.  It is a rag that I dust with.
  • If you know someone that quilts you could ask them to turn it into a t-shirt quilt for you.
  • I widdled my down to a small box that I just can't part with.

That said, I was part of an organization in high school that always gave us the absolute most comfy t-shirts ever.  Good quality too....  I still sleep in those shirts to this day.. and I graduated in 1996.  Embarrassed
