I have to whine for a minute...
This is a random vent, but I just have to get it out. My sister is pregnant and due in June as well. It could be fun and cute, but with her its been nothing but annoying. She is way too much of an AW for it to be enjoyable. I can't talk to anybody about my baby without her butting in and changing the subject to her. While a bit aggravating, I've been handling it really well and haven't said a word to her about it. She has even flipped out and yelled at me about several ridiculous issues like what kind of crib I bought, what kind of car seat I want, and how I chose to feed my baby. I handled that calmly and never raised my voice back. However, she has finally done it. I'm about to get pissed now. She scheduled her C-Section for my due date, which is a full two weeks before her own! The doctor said she could pick any day after her 37 week mark, and of all days, she picks my due date! She's been saying all along that she hopes we go into labor on the same day. I always ask her why, when I would rather be there when my niece is born. I think that's the point for her. I'd almost swear that its because she doesn't want my family there for me. She is that much of an attention wh*re! I know that its highly unlikely that I'll actually go into labor on my due date, but its the concept of it. I just can't fathom why somebody would do that? Can I not at least have my own due date! Argh!!!
Sorry, that was really long and rambling, but I needed to get it out. I just found out the news, and can't get a hold of DH to complain to him, lol. Thanks for listening!

Yaaa I wouldnt be ok with that! The main problem I would have is that if you do end up going into labor on the same day your poor LO will never have its own birthday. It will always have to share with its cousin.... Not fun for a kid...

Nope, which makes it worse! I chose the one in town with the NCIU unit, and she went with where she delievered her first one at. That'll be real convenient.

I'm not sure. I know my mom doesn't think its wrong, but I haven't talked to anybody else. My mom and her are best buds and my mom will defend everything she does.
I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who thought her behavior was not only annoying, but a tad insane! That makes me feel a bit better anyway. Maybe I should be induced two weeks early as well. Two can play at this game! Haha, I joke, of course.

We have siblings in our group of friends that were due at the same time. The one would always compare everything down to ultrasounds, size, etc. She moved her due date up a week to match her SIL's. At the end of the pregnancy they both were a week late and ended up having the babies within 24 hours at 2 different hospitals. Heck, I say let your sis have the baby first because the attention will shift as soon as yours arrives
It definitely bothered the one a lot, and I do not want to be the bearer of bad news, but I would not plan on it getting better after the babies are born. From the sounds of it your sister will probably competitive over whose baby is more advanced...

Ugh...that is even worse. What a crappy thing to do!!!! Fingers crossed that you do NOT go into labor on your due date, just to spite her.
Ugh, don't tell me that! Although, you are probably right. With her first, she bragged about her Apgar score, growth percentiles, all that, like its something that anybody had any control over. I can definitely see her getting competitive over stuff like that, which will drive me crazy! The sad thing is, she's eight years older than me. I thought she was supposed to be the "mature" one. Oh well, what can you do?
