I was waiting to get on the elevator and a woman came up to wait as well. This was how our conversation went:
Lady: OH gosh, there must be something in the water, you are the 3rd pregnant person i've seen today. I am NOT drinking the water around here!
Me: ::awkward chuckle::
Lady: It's just that time of year I guess - babies popping out everywhere! so are you due soon?
Me: actually I am due at the end of July.
Lady: OH WOW. (makes face like I am a hippo).
Thank goodness she was going up and her elevator arrived!
Re: Snarky Encounter with a woman at work
One of these days, I'm gonna print some shirts that say, "I won't be pregnant forever, but you my dear will always be a b*tch!"
I swear, some people just lose their minds when their mouths open!

Seriously! WTH, man?
What I want to know is, when these people see a very overweight person on the street, do they walk up to them and say something rude?? I mean, really?
What's wrong with people? And more important, what's wrong wtih women? They seem to be the worst offenders...and many of them have been pregnant in their lives. Are they just trying to take out what happened to them on the next round of pregnant woment or what??
I cannot count how many times I've had people give the "Oh I won't drink the water around here and risk catching the pregnancy!".

oh my gosh, how rude!!
I am just glad I have thick skin and can just roll my eyes and laugh about it! It really is unbelievable how women act this way over and over again!
I think people don't realize what a waddle really looks like. I have had 3 people tell me I was waddling. I will give them that I was walking funny a few times b/c I overdid it and my legs were sore, but the 3rd girl that told me that, I was 100% not waddling, I can't help it if my belly moves when I walk, but that is not a waddle!
I aslo don't think that people know, or remember, how large a full term belly is. I kind of understand to a point, I have seen bellies where all I can think is "holy crap her belly is huge", but I think it- I don't say it.
At least it makes for a funny story. I did laugh out loud at this.
When I was pg with DD#1, a guy I worked with asked my due date which was about 6 months hence. He was amazed and said "But you're so HUGE! My sister was about your size just before she went into labour!" There were other guys around too (I work with mostly men) who were all trying to say under their breath "Dude! Shut up!"
And the thing is, I wasn't huge! (working on that now) I only had gained like 15 lbs by that point! People are so dumb.
I'm totally on board with this, all of it. Ridiculous.
This! And I'd also like to add: Throat punch!
LOL to the throat punch! thank you ladies! And I live in NC, so I think the woman is just a wench!
Not that commenting on size is ever appropriate, I just remember getting to 29w or so and thinking there was no way I could ever get bigger [haha] . . . Pregnant woman seem to grow to incredible sizes in our last tri and people seem to forget and stall out thinking we're "big" in the 20's.
This! I posted the other day about how a male coworker asked when I was due and then proceeded to say, "Geez! It's gonna be a big baby!" Um, can I throat punch you now???
O.M.G.
It seems really far away because of our craptastic weather but you are right - that is so soon!
I've been feeling this way and wondering how on earth I'm going to feel at 36-40 weeks, when at 26 weeks I already am feeling big, unwieldy, sleeping's already getting harder, etc. At least it all happens gradually so we can adapt? I'm hoping?
