On the topic of names, What are your nicknames for your LO? My SIL was talking about how she calls her DS monkey. DH was like umm......we call ours monster. Ha.
I said it in a different post, but I call Joshua "Punkin" because during his first halloween he put a pumpkin bag on his head and I called him "punkin head" and now it's just "punkin"
Karter either "K" or "Boo Boo". I call her "Boo Boo" because when she stick out her lip when she's sad I call it her boo boo lip and it just stuck as me calling her "Boo Boo".
I mentioned it in the other post but Esmeralda gets called E or Esme (pronounced Ez-may), but I also call her Princess, Pretty Girl, Baby Girl, Cutie Pie.

I call him my little peanut butter because peanut butter is my favorite and of course so is he! DH calls him little dude. Also, because I think its funny, my Mom calls him frolackman because he is a mix of French, Polish(Polack) and German.
I have no idea how I came up with these, but I call her prettyprettyprincess, princess pumpkin pie (weird, I know) and chubbers when I squish her little thighs!

Lucas Bug (like locust bug) or just bug, Monster (bc he does this growing thing), Pumpkin (bc he was born in October), Chunks (bc he's so much bigger in weight and length than most 5 mo olds) and DH sometimes calls him Sprout.
I call her sweetie pie but then say "sweet potato pie" to her. I also call her "hunny bunny" which has turned into just "bun". I call her punkin quite a bit as well. Oh - I can't forget Tooter McTooterson or Toots McGee when she blesses me with gas.
Either Buddy (which is often) or Chunkalunka. When referred to him in conversation with each other - "The Child" - I have no idea why we started that, but it's stuck.
When I was pregnant and every week was compared to a veggie or fruit, DH wanted to know when she would be a sweet tater. (Yep, we live in the South) So now it's sweet tater or tater. We call her that in public and get some strange looks.
DH and I both call her little mama or mamas. Or beela. Because I was so tired once I said her name all slurred and weird. Sadly for her it stuck. I call her sugar muffin a lot too.

We all call DS "Monster" sometimes. DH calls him Minster ... Does anyone remember the fish stick commercial where the little girl gives her mom a hard time for feeding her "minced fish"? (Minced? You feed me minced?! Have you ever heard of a minced fish?!") Originally I starting calling DS "MisterMan" which shortened to "Mister" then to "Mist" and then DH started calling him "Minst" -- pronounced "minced" like the fish! -- and that evolved back to "Minster" and "MinsterMan."
Funny how these things work when you stop to think about them!
My sn is actually my childhood nickname ... my parents to this day still call me "Pern" ... I have no idea why they started calling me Copernicus in the first place, though.

I'm a freak with nicknames. ,DH, furbaby, and C don't get called by their real names by me very often. It's just strange how some things stick. My pug's name is Tucker, but I baby talk and call him "Tudda" ... then I would call him Monkey, baby, and punkin... it has transformed into "Bunkin". So furbaby is Tudda or Bunkin.
When C was still a newborn I called him Mr. Boy and Co-bug which turned into Coburg. I also call him Pumpkin Nugget and Bunny on a regular basis. What I call him the most is Little Bear... Sleepy Bear, Snuggly Bear. You get it--he's a bear. Oddly enough, DH and I only say his name when we talk about him.
He's not going to know his name so I should start using it :[

DH started calling her Wren-ten-ten. I don't like that because then I want to say K-9 cop.

Nothing, really. I just call him Nicholas. Or angel. or sweet boy. Those are more terms of endearment though, not nicknames.
We call DD "Choopy" sometimes
Long story behind it that doesnt really make sense now that I think about it. But I hope this doesnt become a nickname...not very flattering!
Little Man, Monkey, Mr. Man, Sugar Butt, Mr. Monster

A friend calls him C-Leb.
My mom calls him Kale, because of her strokes, she can't properly pronounce Caleb.
My SIL calls him Soybean, and I will call him that.
I also call him Stinker-Butt, and peanut.
She doesnt really have any nicknames yet...I either refer to her as something endearing or just call her Abigail.
DH has taken to calling her Bigailia though. Does it qualify as a nickname if its longer than the original?? Lol.
