I try to be creative, but I do feel like she often eats the same things. I don't ever do breakfast for dinner, but have recently thought that it sounds pretty good!
Our first baby girl, Lucia Joy, joined us on April 1, 2010!
since dd is still mostly on purees i do feel like she is lacking in variety. its 6pm before i get her picked up and home from daycare and she goes to bed at 7ish. so right now i'm struggling to find a way to get her to eat a real dinner with us. but i mean, we usually dont even make dinner til 8 or so. but on the weekends i will give her anything i am having, just so she can have new tastes and to see what she likes, etc. i feel like this is a really long answer, my bad.
Yep, I know exactly what you mean. I really try to try new things, but she doesn't like eating from a spoon too much (unless it's YoBaby yogurt). Have you tried the babyfood101.com website? They have some pretty good ideas on there. Check it out and see if you can find some new, easy things to make.
Yeah, but I pretty much eat the same foods all the time too, so I guess that's why.
This. Since having LO, I've been especially uncreative. I do purposely buy produce we havent had in awhile when we're in a rut. I don't want DS to go too long without trying new things and I also want him to be repeatedly offered foods he initially turns down.

Sometimes I feel like his meals get a little monotonous, but in general, he eats whatever we do so we try to throw in some variety. He eats meats, pasta (with sauce or cheese), last night he had risotto, veggies, potatos, etc.
I try to change things up by puttting different veggies in with the meal. So, the other night for example, we had pasta with meatballs. I made his sauce with eggplant and zuccini chunks in it. He loved it. I really don't want him to be like I was and go for the thinnest, most runny sauce available!

Re: The same things
we eat a lot of the same things but i try and look for recipes that are easy with the stuff we normally eat so it has a different taste.
and yes we have breakfast for dinner sometimes.
