? about cycle after failed IVF

I just wondered what your experience was with ovulating after your failed IVF cycle.  Did you O when you normally do?  Was it delayed?  Early?

I am on CD 19 and no sign of O yet.  No + OPK's and I've been testing since CD 12.  I'm not temping this month, but I charted for more than a year prior to IVF and my +OPK's always corresponded with a temp rise a day or two later.

Just wondering if this is at all normal after meds.  That maybe they messed with my body/cycle.  I guess I am especially worried about the lupron, being that I am over 35.  Just hoping my ovaries didn't decide to give out after having taken it.  I know that's probably crazy, but IF makes me nuts!!

Any experience/thoughts are greatly appreciated.  Smile

  • I'm sorry about your failed IVF. I ovulated about 2 days late after my failed cycles, except for #3 (cp) and sort of off to an atypical start to begin with, right on time. GL.

  • Things were odd for me too.  I caught a double line on the OPK's this past month, but I never saw a surge and based on CM I really don't think I O'd.  It ended up being only a 21 day cycle.   Not sure this is normal, but I at least wanted to let you know you are not alone.   Under normal circumstances I regularly O and have 26-28 day cycles.

In all my months of charting I usually O CD 15-20, so I am not out of that window yet, but I just don't seem to have any sign of O, so it has me worried.  I hate IF!!

We are having a really hard time with the paint color. Glidden advertises an NFL line and Steelers "Gold" is one of the colors, but when we went to pick it up it was too orange. We already have the black tile, black toilet, and black sink installed. Shouldn't be too much longer before it is finished. MH is getting his Man Cave complete with bathroom. We tried to find a Urinal instead of a toilet, but it was going to cost too much to move the plumbing lines.

  • Hey Cute! Sorry about your failed cycle. This was my first cycle after my failed IVF also and while I'm not temping either, all other signs show that I'm going to ovulate right around where I did before my IVF cycle.

After 4 years, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs our surprise miracle is here!

  • my cycles always get f'ed up after a failed IVF.  it takes a while for my body to go back to normal and my cycle is really long, like 50 days and then it goes back to it's normal 30-32 days.

try not to stress, it happens to some of us.

Hi, cutebride.  I'm sorry you are experiencing this.  I ended up with cysts that produced estrogen which really threw my cycles off.  The cycle after failed IVF #1, I had bleeding or spotting pretty much until I was put on estrace and I had to have a cyst aspiration.  The cycle after failed IVF #1 seemed normal except I had some pain and probably didn't ovulate.  The cycle after that I was put on aygesting to shrink the cyst.  So, this is my first cyst and med free cycle after IVF #2 where ET was early December.

I hope your cycle gets back to normal quickly!
