Follie Check for IUI #3

This morning's follie check went relatively well.  I have three lead follies, two of which at 14 that are likely to mature for the IUI.  I had yet another new nurse (my 4th in 3 cycles) and she couldn't "find" my right ovary so there was lots of digging around...eep.  I should be headed back in for another check Friday with the IUI to follow Sunday or Monday.

Loads of luck to all the other ladies mid-cycle, and many thanks for all the well wishes on this cycle...I'm petrified of injectables and desparately hoping this last Clomid cycle works.  I literally am not sure if I can move forward on the injectables route, but perhaps I'll find the courage if I have to...fingers crossed I don't.

TTC since 11/09
Two C/P and Lots of Tests
Me = LPD + cancer survivor, DH = low count and morphology
IUIs #1-5, January 2011 - June 2011 = BFN
IVF #1 in July/August 2011 = BFP!!!!!

Re: Follie Check for IUI #3

  • I really hope this cycle works for!!

btw-I have a huge fear of needles and the injectibles were honestly not even that bad.  Giving blood is so much worse.

  • I have to chime in to say that you don't need to be so afraid of the injects.  Smile  Six months ago, I had doctor anxiety and severe needle anxiety.  Now that I've done sub-Q self-injections, it's really no big deal.  The needles are so tiny that once you get over the anticipation stuff, it's easy.  At this point, I would way rather give myself a shot than have blood drawn or have someone else give me a shot.  NEVER thought I'd say that.

    GL to you!

  • Best of luck to you with this cycle.  I am keeping everything crossed for you that this is your BFP cycle.  But, if you have to move to injectables, they are not bad at all.  Once you do your first sub-q shot yourself, you almost wonder what you were so afraid of!

We are all here to support you and hope you get your BFP!

  • I really hope this cycle works for you!  I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for that BFP.  But, like the other ladies said, if you do need to go to injectables, it's a cake walk!  When I started my DH did the job for me until I realized how painless it is. Good Luck!!!!!!!

  • All kinds of good luck wishes for you for this cycle!!!!!!

The injects are not bad at all! I was afraid also, but it really is crazy how little they hurt. Please don't count injects out for that reason. You could do it!! But of course, I hope you don't need to.
