Hey guys! My hubby and I were thinking of using the name Liam Drew for our little boy. The only thing that I wonder is if it will be a little weird to have the initials LDS because of the LD part. I'm a teacher and hear the term LD a lot. Am I just being weird?
Re: Name Advice
Okay that makes me feel better! I just don't want to give him a name he will be made fun of for!
LDS = Church of the Latter Day Saints (Mormon)
LD = Learning Disabled
Might I suggest Andrew instead of Drew for the mn? Or William nn Liam for the fn?

Most people don't even know that Latter-day Saints are Mormons (I'd know, I am one!) so I wouldn't let that stop you.
IMO, your son will be FAR more likely to have the LS be his known initials. I've never known anyone apart from authors to use only their first two initials together without the last name. I don't think anyone will put the LD together, and I don't even know what it is, it must not be common. I say, if you like the name, use it! Generally speaking, if a kid is going to get made fun of, they will, no matter how irreproachable their name or initials are.. Kids will just find something else, it's how they are.
Go Phils!!
I dont even know what LD is...
But I like the name :-)
