located right now?? I feel like I have been in school way too long to not know this, albeit in the humanities, lol...
But, everyone keeps talking about movement...and with all my GI issues with this pregnancy...I can't tell if the flutters I am feeling are the baby or something else. (I realize I may actually not know until I feel a full on quick- but I am jealous of the movement posts!)
At this stage, is the baby above the belly button, to the side or level with the belly button or below the belly button? Or could he/she be in all of those places?
Re: Dumb question..but where is the baby...
I feel the movement between my belly button and panty line. I felt it a couple times in the past week & 1/2 but the last 2 days in the late afternoon it was like every few minutes for a couple hours I felt it. It is mostly fluttery feelings, or like the feeling of popcorn popping. At times it will be really faint and other times it is like WOW, someone sure is getting rowdy. It isn't like kicking or anything strong like that.
Another way to describe it is you know when you get nervous or excited and you get those butterflies in your stomach? Well for me it is a lot like that but much lower.
Someone posted this link yesterday and I thought it was a helpful visual of where the baby is and how your body is changing:
https://www.msichicago.org/whats-here/exhibits/you/the-exhibit/your-beginning/make-room-for-baby/interactive/I can find the baby's heartbeat via the doppler about 3-4 inches below my belly button. So it's almost in between my panty line and belly button. Sometimes it's slightly over to one side.
Around 12-13 weeks it was way lower, just above the pubic bone.
Whoa!! Awesome link! Thanks
And def below the bellybutton. I catch the HB on my doppler every night right above my pubic bone.
Thanks for sharing!!! That is an awesome link!
Amazing! Love this link...I saved it to my favs to go back and check out as time progresses!
