Anterior Placenta

Any of you ladies have this? I do and I am 15 weeks still not feeling flutters or anything :(

Re: Anterior Placenta

  • Again, 15 weeks is really early to feel fetal movement, especially for a first time mom.  With an anterior placenta there's a good chance you won't feel fetal movement until after 20 weeks.  :-(

  • I have one.  I don't feel much for 17 weeks.  With my 1st DS I was getting lots of flutters & mini kicks by this stage!

  • I had one with DS. I felt movement around 16-17 weeks and after that the only kicks I felt until later were on the sides of my belly. I think I was 26 weeks or so before I felt him all over.

  • My doctor said that feeling fetal movement is definitely different for each woman; however, with an anterior placenta, such as mine, I should not expect to feel much until 20 weeks +. I carried twins until 18 weeks last year and only felt flutters with an anterior placenta. Don't worry, it'll happen for us all eventually!

  • I'm 17 weeks 4 days today, and have an anterior placenta. But I think mine is anterior/left. I'm pretty sure I'm feeling some flutters and movement now, especially on the right side. I'm also a 1st time mom.

  • I had one with DS, and could only feel really low kics and ones to the sides. You can still see front movement, you just won't feel it as strong or as early. This is my 4 pregnancy only the 2nd time I've made it this far, and I still am not feeling anything. I thought I did last week, but nothing since.

  • I had this with DD and really didn't feel anything until 20weeks, but not to worry she made up for lost time.

  • I have one too and I am feeling a whole lot of nothing! I am thankful that I have seen other posts about this though because I am not worried that I don't feel anything yet. Ive accepted it as normal that I may not feel something till around 20 weeks...it helps to ease the anxiety that something might be wrong ya know
