It's been a B-A-D day today!! I've had NO sleep (& now that daddy's home to take over I'm too wound up to lay down) due to Nolan being sick - I finally broke down & took him to the pedi today. He just has a cold & nothing more we can do except keep doing what we are doing. It should be on it's ending days (hopefully!)
He has been a fussy & clingy baby (& this is NOT my Nolan) today. Every time I've tried to put him down he has screamed. It's been hard to even go pee today (let alone eat, shower, laundry & do some work from home) I'm just not at a point where I can let him cry I had to pull over & off the highway today because he was screaming on the way home - Usually he goes to sleep right away in the car. Not today. Poor baby just doesn't feel good!!
I get home & while still reeling from all the depression that I'm having regarding breast feeding/pumping/etc. I come home to one of the dogs having chewed up one side of the breast pump - making that side in-operable. Thank GOD both sides are not broken/chewed up. She also chewed up a Dr. Brown's bottle is also chewed up - Additionally- she peed on the floor!! ARRGGHHHH!!
The remains
I lost it - it just feels like such a SLAP in my face with all that I'm going through with breast feeding & pumping!! - It has to get better!!
So- where do you get replacement parts for the Medela breast pumps?
Re: Slap in the Face! (Bad Dog!!)
Ugh! Sounds like a pretty awful day for sure-- as for replacement parts, I cant really tell from the picture but what kind of parts are you needing? Tubing, flanges, membranes? Motherhood Express in Florence, KY has any and every pumping part you might need-- they also have a FANTASTIC LC who might be able to offer some encouragement too. I met with her really often after I had Nick because of all the problems we were having due to his size and age-- she has a pretty decent amount of experience working with preemies and moms of preemies.
As for the fussy clingy baby :-( ((hugs)) its just really hard when they are sick b/c as a mom you dont get a break AT ALL but you feel horrible at the same time b/c you know how awful they feel. Do you have a moby wrap? Last time Nicholas was sick and clingy I busted mine out again and wore him around for a while. It worked out pretty well (not as great as it did when he was younger b/c he is much more of a wiggle worm now than he was as an infant) but it was nice to be able to have my hands free and be able to do other things like start dinner (I know, I know...you shouldnt babywear and cook at the same time but I was in a pinch).
