  QOTW: Spring is officially here. What does Spring make youthink of? What is your favorite part of Spring? Your least favorite part?

  Spring makes me think of baby animals and new gardens (I'm so cliche...). I love the fact that the weather isn't hot yet but it's not the dead of winter, though in CO we'll still probably get a few snowstorms before June. I don't really have a least favorite part.

  QOTW: I love Spring! I love that I can open the windows and let the fresh air in. I love that I know Summer is right around the corner. I love wearing my thongs again. 

  I really don't like the mud or having to see my overweight neighbor in shorts that are 3 sizes too small.

  ETA: Thongs are the things that I wear on my feet. I refuse to call them 'flip-flops'

  QOTW:

  Favorite part of Spring: it is a toss up between seeing the flowers and trees start doing their thing, and hearing the glorious songs of the birds.

  Least favorite part of Spring: can't decide between the slop of mud that splashes up when I walk to the mailbox 2 blocks away, or the constant warm and cold temperature flip flops

   

  UPDATES:

  We officially signed with our MW last Sunday. We had our first check up Wednesday. It was so much more intimate and personal than an OB visit! I think I am really going to enjoy having a MW this time around. 

  I talked with the Health Dept today and feel better knowing that we are covered by some government insurance. 

  My thesis presentation and submission are tomorrow so I am putting final touches on it now. I am SO excited to be this close to the end of this long, expensive, TIME CONSUMING!!!! chapter of my life.

  i love the new beginnings that Spring represents: new grass, new leaves, new flowers, new season, new life. my least favorite part of spring is pollen (allergies)

  QOTW: Spring is officially here. What does Spring make youthink of? What is your favorite part of Spring? Your least favorite part?

  Spring makes me think of cherry blossoms blooming, sunny days, the smell of freshly cut grass, birds chirping...everything cheerful! I love spring and summer.

  My favorite part of spring is the start of baseball season. I'm a huge SF Giants fan.

  Least favorite? Hmmmm, not sure. Maybe that my birthday has just passed (February), so I'm another year older. That's about it.

  QOTW: Spring is officially here. What does Spring make youthink of? What is your favorite part of Spring? Your least favorite part?

  For me Spring is renewal.  Flowers popping up in the grass and in garden beds, buds opening, my birthday, cleansing rains, and spring cleaning.  In general everything starting fresh for another year.

  Spring is bittersweet for me.  It has both my happiest and saddest memories all wrapped up within a few short months.  (Well actually, mostly just April)
  

  I was born on an Easter Monday and it has always been my favourite holiday, mostly because of the chocolate.  When I was young my family used to go to a certain lakeside park and fly kites on Easter.  My Dad loved airborne things.   He loved his kites and he loved to fly planes.

  It was also in the spring that my Dad died in a plane crash.  It was 2 weeks before my 6th birthday on a perfectly clear, beautiful Monday in early April.  He died doing what he loved best in life.

  Children should be seen, and heard, and believed.

  I love spring--it make me think of renewal and growth and as a teacher, the approaching end of the school year!  My favorite part is going for a hike and seeing the tiny wildflowers and the buds on the trees and the tiny leaves.  My least favorite part--I don't have allergies but DH does so I don't like that spring makes him feel bad!

  Update:  I took my 3-hour GTT on Saturday and I am impatiently waiting for a call from my doc to find out if I passed!

  Update:  I'm now Team Blue his name will be Evan, we haven't decided on a middle name.

   I'm looking forward to the fruits and veggies!  I'm tired on greens and root vegetables.  We've started our garden, so I'm looking forward to some good produce.  First up strawberries in April & May, yummy.  And of course the warmer weather, although it was 30 last night, after having 70-80s last week that was a major downer.  I'm excited for DS to be able to go outside, he loves it now so this will be our first spring/summer with a roaming toddler. I can't wait for the pool & beach!

   My favorite part of spring is the nice weather and all of the pretty flowers in people's gardens.

   My least favorite part is that it doesn't last long enough.  We get maybe two weeks of nice spring weather before summer starts beating down on us.  I'm thankful that I'll be having my baby before it gets too crazy hot.

  QOTW: My favorite things about spring are gorgeous flowers, green everywhere, and cool breezes. The worst part of spring for me is definitely the pollen and allergies that accompany it.

  Hi! My EDD is September 22, and I'll be giving birth in a hospital, using the Bradley Method.

  We don't yet know what the gender is, and we'll be finding out on April 26!

  Well, here in Maryland, no one told the weather that it's officially spring since it's still in the 20's at night and lower 40's during the day! Usually it makes me think of easter and cute pastel clothing. My favorite part is all of the daffodils that pop up around here, and the trees starting to bud!   Had my Feb baby

  Gavin James was born 3/5 at 40 weeks and 6 days after 2 days of laboring.

  
  Long story: I went in on Tuesday 3-1 for my 40 week appointment and I was 1 cm and only 50 % effaced. My midwife suggest that I start taking an herb that will help induce labor so I started taking it Wednesday afternoon and contractions started that evening then stopped before bed. Then the contractions started again Thursday evening and by 2 am Friday morning I could no longer sleep through them and had to get out of bed with each contraction.

  Friday I had a appointment for a non stress test to check on the baby. Still having contractions 10 minutes apart midwife tells me I am not in labor and I would know the difference. (That was very discouraging) She then told me to go home drink some wine and rest. Friday evening I tried to get as much sleep as possible but the contractions continued all night long but never got any closer then 8 minutes.

  Saturday morning I woke up around 3 or 4  went to bathroom and lost my mucus plug and had a bloody show and I knew then that baby would be born that day. I went back to bed and tried to get some more sleep but bye 6 am I had to get up. I then labored at home till 11 am when contractions were 4 minutes and very intense. William was still with us and was becoming a distractions because he wanted mommy and was trying to climb on me. I had a small melt down and started crying and that is when Dh decided to call the birthing center and His aunt to watch William.

  We left the house headed to the birthing center and made it there by noon. I was checked and was already 6 cm and the baby was at a zero station.  I then labored for an hour just standing and then got in the tub for the next 3 hours. At 4 pm I got out of the tub so the midwife could break my water at that time I was 8 cm. Once she broke my water the contractions became a little more intense and by 4:30 I was ready to push.

  Pushing was different his time because I could not find a comfortable position to push in. I was on my back and that really hurt so I tried hands and knees, up on my knees and then on my side. I pushed with each contraction and I one point the midwife asked me to stop pushing because she was trying to change gloves, or put gloves on but a contraction was coming and I had to push. At 4:48 Gavin James was born and was caught bare handed by the midwife.

  Spring is my favorite season in Tennessee. I love how everything looks as it is newly blooming and I LOVE the smells of the newly blooming flowers as well. I also love the spring weather. Not too hot; not too cold. Absolute perfection.

  Updates:

  As of my 38 week appointment, my cervix was high, hard, thick, closed, and posterior or "unfavorable". A flat zero on the Bisop scale. I won't be allowed to go past 41 weeks, and my doctor is afraid that my uterine fibroid is keeping baby from dropping. Please send lots of good thoughts and prayers my way that this is not the case. I hope to get more encouraging news this Friday at my 39 week appointment. Thanks!

  Spring makes me think of my husband talking about the grass constantly, and me intending to plant something pretty and never getting around to it.  The worst part of Spring is this Georgia Pollen that makes us all so miserable.  But then its all worth it when summer arrives and we have the greatest yards on earth!

   ETJohnson, still due 4/2 with a Baby Boy at hospital- please think happy thoughts for me- I have scar tissue that has to be rubbed away before I can dilate.  So my progress is unknown until I'm in labor!

  Will you add me to the happy thoughts part?  Found out today that our little girl is now transverse after having been head down, and she's in an unfavorable position for turning on her own.  We're focusing on pelvic alignment as best we can, but a preterm labor scare a couple of weeks ago made my doc say no to any bodywork

  My favorite part of spring are all of the blooming trees and the longer days.  Least favorite part is knowing that it will end all too soon and be replaced with very HOT summer!

  Spring makes me think of new life and fresh beginnings...which is really awesome to be pregnant during. My favorite part is when all of the trees get that green haze, and you know there will be leaves everywhere in a couple of days. My least favorite part is how Spring plays with your emotions with all of the cold snaps there are, especially in TN. It will be sunny and 72 one day, and cloudy and 30s the next .
