BRA help!! ??? for bigger busted ladies!

Ok ladies! I am regularly a 36D. I am almost 17 weeks and I'm up to a 38D now, which I really am squeezing myself into because I should prob be wearing a DD.

I am pretty cheap...lol...and usually buy my bras at Target. I love Gillian O'Malley...but I think I need to try something else.

Any suggestions on a bra that isn't $50 though?

Thanks Ladies!

Re: BRA help!! ??? for bigger busted ladies!

  • I'm a VS girl, through and through.  But, I got so busty last pregnancy that the store didn't carry my size in stock.  While walking the mall, I walked into Cacique.  It's Lane Bryant's lingerie.  I was able to get fitted and try on bras that fit me perfectly.  The two that I bought were $45 total.

  • I got some deals at Khol's last week. If you have a coupon the deals are pretty good. I wear a DDD and still found stuff.

  • Lane Bryant is really nice, I love their bras and they aren't too bad for the price.

  • I found the following bra and have never looked back....I stock up when Kohl's has their annual bra sale and I have coupons (but also get them at the hanes outlet too and they are available online).

seriously awesome fit (btw I'm a 36 DD and probably will have to go up to 38 soon too).

  • I will echo the suggestions of going to Lane Bryant - by FAR the best bras for bigger boobs. They're comfortable, supportive, and come in good colors/designs.

I'm a 36DDD and only buy my bras there. Here are the specific ones I recommend:

Pre-pregnancy, this is the only bra I'd wear: Smooth Balconette Bra https://www.lanebryant.com/p36851/index.pro?relatedItem=true

Pregnant, I've found that these are the most comfortable: Smooth satin full coverage bra & back smoothing bra

    BFP #1: 10/2011, Pre-eclampsia in last 6 weeks, emergency C-section, DD born 6/25/11

BFP #2: 8/16/14, Ectopic Pregnancy & Methotrexate Inj. 9/5/14, Adverse MTX reaction, HCG levels down after 2 weeks

    BFP #3: 2/23/2016, EDD 10/28/2016

  • I just went up a second size this pregnancy and I'm only 15w...I'm going for cheap yet supportive now!

I'm now a 38DD and am wearing a vanity fair bra. It feels great! I went to macy's so I could be measured and get the advice of a pro. I think the bra cost under $30.

  • I went to motherhood maternaty and bought 3 for 45.  And an extension just in case.  Lane bryant is great to.

  • Go to a bra store, get fitted and have them recommend a few - once you try a few good bras on, you WILL be willing to spend the extra money.... so worth it.

This! I just went to Nordstrom yesterday and was fitted for bras. I was spilling out of my Lane Bryant bras so I assumed I needed a bigger cup size. Nope! Just a different kind of bra. I'm in love.

  • I love my Lane Bryant Bras. I own many! Since getting pg I've already gone up also- and their bras have been very accommodating. I get the balconette style to help with the "spillage"

  • I bought two bras recently at Motherhood Maternity that were 40E that were like $15 or $20 a piece so definitely very price minded.  They were nursing bras too so they could be used after pregnancy if I am able to BF. With stores like that, you can usually go to the store to check them out and order them online if they don't have your size.

  • I have grown out of EVERYTHING!

I was feeling awful and wasn't up for a venture off of bed rest so DH decided to go look for me.

(I have visions of him walking around with his hands up looking to see what size he think is most accurate)

He came home with a 38DDD (I was a 36DD) and it works for the moment.  Thanks for the big girl tips ladies!

  • Im not sure if you have one near by, but H&M is where I got mine this week.  I used to only wear underwire, but now I can't stand them, they just feel uncomfortable.  So I needed  something that was wire-free but supportive enough for my at least DDs.  H&M has some good maternity stuff and I was really surprised that they had nursing bras, wire free up to size E!  I got a two pack (one black one white) for about $20.  Can't beat that!
